Decorative Art
From time to time at my current workplace, I'm called upon to create pieces for BG.Studio -- some are made on spec, others per client request.  Requests range from detailed instructions to match the decor in a specific loction to vague wishes for items on a general theme.  Some of these are completely original pieces, others are remixes of well-known artworks. Fast turnaround from idea to finished product is essential. Click the "Buy" links to see more pieces related to each sample.
Inspired by the "Keep Calm and Carry On" craze, a series of posters
featuring words of wisdom from President Theodore Roosevelt.
For a performing arts-themed line, paintings by Edgar Degas layered with
music and diagrams from a 19th-century ballet manual.
Primary colors, non-specific comic book feel.
Part of a series of bugs, birds and other cheerful things.
Clothing accessories and footprints.  For a client who wanted to use pictures in lieu of signs.
Illustrations by John James Audubon, cropped and recolored for a more decorative effect.
Retro-distressed kitchen kitsch.
Created for a Movember promotion.
Client: "I need something like those comic bursts but for girls. Cute and rebellious."
A triptych created for a kid-friendly decor line with a scrap-book look.
Alternate versions of the panels tell a different story.
